Used Chevy Silverado 2500HD Transmission
Used OEM automatic transmissions for the Chevy Silverado 2500HD and the matching GMC Sierra 2500HD. Heavy-duty trucks use different transmissions depending on the engine: gas trucks and Duramax diesel trucks are not interchangeable, and 2WD and 4WD units differ too. Tell us your VIN, engine and drivetrain and we match the exact unit, confirm the mileage in writing before you pay, and ship it free by liftgate freight in 7β14 business days with a 3-year parts warranty.

Frequently asked questions
No. Gas and Duramax trucks use different transmissions with different bellhousings, torque converters and programming. That is why we ask for your VIN and engine before quoting, so the unit bolts up to your engine and works with your truck's computer.
Not always. The tail housing and output shaft are different on 2WD and 4WD trucks, so a 4WD truck needs a unit that accepts the transfer case. Your VIN tells us which version your Silverado 2500HD came with.
Flush or replace the transmission cooler and lines, use the correct fluid and fill level for your unit, check the transmission mounts and wiring connectors, and make sure the torque converter is fully seated before bolting it to the engine. Some trucks also need a relearn with a scan tool after installation.
Every used transmission comes with our 3-year parts warranty on major internal components when installed by an ASE certified mechanic. Full terms are on our Terms & Warranty page and on your written quote.
