Earlier Chargers used 4-speed or 5-speed automatics depending on the engine, and later Chargers moved to an 8-speed automatic. The year, engine and drivetrain all change the unit, so we match it by your VIN.
No. AWD Chargers use a different transmission setup to connect to the transfer case, so a RWD unit will not swap in directly. Tell us if your car is AWD when you send your VIN.
Some Charger transmissions need the transmission control module set up or a quick-learn done with a scan tool after install. Your mechanic can handle this, and we note it on your quote when it applies.
