No. A 2016+ Pilot uses a different transmission from the 2003–2015 5-speed, and within the 2016+ generation the 6-speed and 9-speed units do not interchange. We match the transmission to your VIN so you get the correct one.
It can. AWD Pilots connect to a transfer assembly and rear drive unit, so the transmission part number can differ from a 2WD Pilot of the same year. Your VIN tells us exactly which version you have.
Flush or replace the transmission cooler lines, use the genuine Honda fluid specified for your Pilot, and check the engine and transmission mounts. Clearing stored codes and doing a test drive after install is also a good idea.
