It is not a simple swap. The 3.5L and 3.7L share a basic design, but the engine computer, wiring and some components differ. We recommend replacing it with the same engine your H3 left the factory with, matched to your VIN.
Yes. The H3 Alpha uses a 5.3L V8 instead of the inline 5-cylinder, with different mounts, wiring and computer programming. Send us your VIN and we will quote the correct engine for your truck.
Have your mechanic transfer any parts that differ, replace the oil, filter and coolant, and check the cooling system and engine mounts. Clearing the old engine's failure cause, such as an overheating issue, protects the replacement.
