Frequently asked questions
No. The 2.0L turbo used on SX trims has a turbocharger, different intake and exhaust parts and its own engine computer calibration. A turbo Sportage needs a turbo engine and a 2.4L Sportage needs a 2.4L, which is why we match by VIN.
The engine code is part of your VIN, and it tells us the exact engine, generation and emissions setup your Sportage left the factory with. Matching by VIN avoids wiring, sensor and mounting differences between years.
Transfer any sensors and accessories that are not included, replace the oil and filter, check the cooling system and radiator, inspect motor mounts, and on turbo models check the oil feed and return lines to the turbo before first start.
