The 2006–2008 RAV4 offered a 2.4L four-cylinder (2AZ-FE), the 2009–2018 RAV4 used a 2.5L four-cylinder (2AR-FE), the 2006–2012 RAV4 could also be ordered with a 3.5L V6 (2GR-FE), and the 2019 and newer RAV4 uses a newer 2.5L (A25A-FKS). From 2006 to 2012 the RAV4 was offered with either a four-cylinder or a 3.5L V6, and the four-cylinder changed size in 2009. The engine code is part of your VIN, so send it and we match the exact engine before quoting.
No. Both are 2.5L four-cylinders, but the 2019 and newer engine is a different design. They are not interchangeable, so we match by VIN.
Some 2AZ-FE engines are known for oil consumption as they age. A used OEM engine with mileage confirmed in writing before you pay is often a lower-cost fix than a rebuild. Ask us about the mileage of available units for your VIN.
