Used Infiniti QX56 Engine
Used OEM 5.6L V8 engines for the Infiniti QX56. The first generation (2004β2010) uses the VK56DE V8, and the second generation (2011β2013) uses the direct-injected VK56VD V8. The two are not interchangeable, so we match the engine to your VIN, confirm the mileage in writing before you pay, and ship it free by liftgate freight with a 3-year parts warranty.

Frequently asked questions
No. The 2011β2013 QX56 uses a different 5.6L V8 (VK56VD) with direct injection and variable valve lift, while 2004β2010 models use the VK56DE. The blocks share a size but the heads, fuel system and engine controls are different, so the replacement must come from the same generation. Send us your VIN and we will match it.
The VIN tells us the model year, generation and drivetrain your QX56 was built with. Matching by VIN avoids getting an engine with the wrong fuel system, sensors or accessory layout, which is the most common cause of a used engine install going wrong.
Find and fix the cause of the original failure first (overheating, oil starvation or a cooling system problem are common). Replace the radiator hoses, thermostat and water pump if they are tired, flush the cooler lines, and start the replacement with fresh oil, filter and coolant.
Yes. Every used engine comes with our 3-year parts warranty on major internal components when installed by an ASE certified mechanic. Full terms are on our Terms & Warranty page and on your written quote.
