Most Outlanders from 2007 on came with either the 2.4L 4-cylinder or the 3.0L V6, depending on trim. The 10th character of your VIN gives the model year and the 8th character identifies the engine, so send us the full VIN and we match the exact engine before you pay.
Not always. The Outlander Sport is a smaller vehicle and was also offered with a 2.0L engine that the regular Outlander did not use. Matching by VIN makes sure you get the engine built for your vehicle.
Replace the gaskets and seals that are disturbed, fill with fresh oil and coolant, check the motor mounts, and transfer or replace sensors as needed. Both the 2.4L and 3.0L V6 should have the timing components inspected while the engine is out, and the transmission cooling system should be checked on CVT models.
