Frequently asked questions
No. The 2004–2015 Titan uses a 5-speed automatic, while the second-generation truck uses a 7-speed and later a 9-speed with different wiring and programming. We match the transmission to your VIN so you get the same unit your truck left the factory with.
No. 4x4 trucks use a different output section to connect to the transfer case, so a 2WD unit will not bolt in. Your VIN tells us the drivetrain, and we also carry transfer cases for 4x4 Titans.
Flush or replace the transmission cooler lines and cooler so old debris does not reach the replacement, fill with the correct Nissan-specified fluid to the proper level, and check the mounts, wiring connectors and shift linkage. Some shops also recommend a relearn with a scan tool after installation.
