Frequently asked questions
No. The 2007–2015 RX 350 uses the 2GR-FE 3.5L V6, while the 2016 and newer RX 350 uses the updated 2GR-FKS with both direct and port injection. The earlier RX 330 used a 3.3L V6. These are not interchangeable, so we match the engine to your VIN and confirm it in writing before you pay.
The long block is generally shared, but mounts, sensors and some bolt-on parts can differ by drivetrain and year. Your VIN tells us the exact build, and your written quote lists what comes with the engine.
Inspect the VVT-i oil feed lines and replace any rubber section with the updated all-metal line, replace the gaskets and seals that are disturbed, fill with fresh oil and coolant, and transfer or replace the sensors as needed. The 3.5L V6 uses a timing chain, so it has no timing belt to replace.
